Purpose: this assignment is designed for students to create acupuncture jobs in the healthcare system, examine the stakeholders, look at the quality of care provided and understand how acupuncture could add value to this healthcare system.

A recognized education at a reputed college or university will provide the skills required to function successfully as an acupuncturist. A career in acupuncture may be the greatest choice for people who desire healing without drugs and want a hands-on profession helping to relieve the pain and difficulty of various health issues.

The Veterans Health Administration is the facility mentioned in the document. With 1,255 healthcare institutions servicing 9 million registered Veterans each year, the Veterans Health Administration is the biggest integrated healthcare network in the United States. The advantage is that Veterans can receive various benefits to help them transition back to civilian life in the nation they fought for Aggarwal (2020), the Veterans Benefits Administration aids servicemembers transitioning out of the service with schooling, house loans, life insurance, and other benefits. VHA is a large organization with a distinct goal and vision. This organization’s mission statement is “to improve the Nation’s readiness for response to war, terrorism, national emergencies, and natural disasters by developing plans and taking steps to ensure continued service to veterans, as well as supporting national, state, and local emergency management, public health, safety, and homeland security efforts” (Aggarwal, 2020).

As a result, the healthcare center is working hard to provide its clients with the greatest services possible. The institution is concerned with the public’s overall health, which is why it focuses on all sectors of society, such as individual veterans, national and regional states, and local emergency response.

Acupuncture is an ancient medical therapy that involves putting needles into the human body to increase energy flow, also known as qi. Acupuncture has evolved from its origins in ancient China to a trusted treatment method utilized worldwide. Acupuncturists’ principal therapy includes inserting specialized needles into a patient’s meridians or energy lines. Acupuncture needles are sterile and about the thickness of a hair strand.

Depending on the patient and therapy, these needles may be used warmed or at room temperature. However, the first step in treating a patient is to obtain a comprehensive medical history and learn about any present symptoms.
