Airport
It is around midnight, and we have a delay.
We are seated at the waiting bay, questions lingering in our minds.
Shall we travel tonight?
Nobody is here to answer to ease our uncertainties!
We are grounded as we can’t hover around the airport.
We haven’t had our meals, yet there is plenty of food.
Workers are closing some offices, a sign of no hope.
My car is parked in front of the Lewis Post.
There are no parking signs!
The police officer is dozing off at the gate.
I am torn apart, driving away or waiting blindly.
The other passengers are eagerly waiting, tired, angry and hungry at the airport.
We are patiently waiting but in vain.
Officers are pacing with no formal communication.
No aeroplanes are jetting in or out.
Our fears have been confirmed.
Our dreams shattered.
Our hope dismayed.
Children are crying for help!

Women are confused!
Men are bold enough for no particular reason!
The airport with no communication is a mystery!
All passengers are eager to travel again.
But it seems there was no hope.
It is my encounter at the airport.
What an encounter!
Sitting at the airport,
With travellers all around,
Some excited children can no longer hold their joy,
Most trips are almost over,
Most dreams have been shattered,
Most jobs have been lost,
Most opportunities have been lost,
Most lives have been lost,
We are all seated, waiting for the flight at the airport.
Despite the delay, we are waiting at the airport.
We are all watching and waiting at the airport.
All the people are strained and drained at the airport.
I am waiting for the new dawn at the airport!
