13 Going on 30
The team and group considerations in the movie clip
The team and group considerations in the movie clip majorly share the same idea and goals in
the dance. In the movie clip, "13 Going 30," the DJ introduces the song by playing "Thriller" by
Michael Jackson. However, there are no dances on the stage to get more team members on stage.
Jean Rick, however, decides to start dancing on the stage, a scenario that plays a huge role in
making more individuals join the dance (BigAdude75, 2013). As per the clip, it is evident that
the team is interested in making the party a success, as they later put Jean Rick and Matt
Flamhaff on stage.
Consider what managers might try to accomplish here—for the good of the people and the
organization. Assume that the dancer was a paid performer.
Suppose a dancer was hired in the event; I believe the managers might have achieved a lot.
Dancers primarily perform their act as a profession, thus making them experts in exciting
crowds, primarily bringing them into a jovial mood. In the clip, a dancer would have helped the
managers achieve the following. At the outset, hiring a dancer would have enabled the managers
to increase their team spirit, as all the team members in the party would have participated in the
dance (BigAdude75, 2013). Again, hiring the dancer would have also enabled the managers to
improve collaboration among the team, as, from the dance, they would learn the importance of
teamwork. Lastly, hiring a dancer would also prove vital in helping the team learn to share ideas,
as, through the dances, each member is allowed to introduce their dance style.
