The article analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of hybrid nanofluids as major heat transfer agents in solar energy collectors. Accordingly, the article describes different types of non-concentrating and concentrating solar collectors, focusing on their efficiency. The findings of the analysis established that hybrid nanofluids significantly enhance the positive optical and thermal performance of various solar thermal energy devices. However, the author noted that thermal efficiency is proportionally dependent on the nanoparticles in regular fluids. The article also analyses the limitations associated with the pumping power and finally recommends issues and areas to be addressed by similar studies in the future.
The type of research covered in the article partly benefits solar energy in various ways. By analyzing types of hybrid nanofluids, the study suggests practices that enhance the efficiency of solar energy. Moreover, the studies recommend areas for further studies to enhance continuity and efficiency in the production of solar energy. However, as a research study based on secondary data, the findings may not be as reliable as when primary research was carried out. A research-based on primary data would help in the practical improvement of solar energy.
Whereas solar energy is considered safe, efficient, and clean, the process of producing solar energy through the collector panels is not completely safe; hence causing risks to human health. Every solar panel consists of chemical like arsenic and cadmium, which produces toxic substances. Toxic substance like hexafluoride endangers human life. Moreover, all solar panels are grounded regardless of whether they connect to the existing, independent networks. In areas where safety rules are skipped, solar panels develop electrical malfunction leading to serious damage to human life and settlement, especially when there is a fire outbreak.
