The Importance of Teamwork
Conclusion
This group presentation aims to discuss the importance of teamwork within the group. As
discussed, a team is a group of individuals with complementary abilities who are dedicated to a
single goal, specific goals, and strategy for which they are collectively responsible. They support
each member's needs by allocating the team members and functioning correctly. After forming
and the team members have come to know each other, they thus divide roles among them. The
roles are assigned due to the personal ability and interests of the members. Some of the roles I
have discussed are, coordinator, shaper, plant, pointer evaluators, resource investigator,
implementer, team worker, and specialist.
In a variety of situations, collaboration is essential. Various essential aspects contribute to
a team's success. As addressed in the article, they include collaboration, appreciating and valuing
each team member's efforts, open dialogue, sharing skills and information with the team, rules of
behavior, team balance, team structure, and team management. Furthermore, gathering
information related to the daily practice includes which part each member has to play to achieve
the objective task. For the formation of a successful team, the paper recommends the following
strategies such as forming, storming, norming, performing, and adjourning.
